Assistant Chief Timothy Navarre
Assistant Chief Navarre began his career with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office over 27 years ago. He attended the Basic Peace Officer’s Class #B2-90 at the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Academy. He holds a Master Peace Officer and Master Jailer Certificate. He is a TECOLE certified instructor as well as a Firearms Instructor. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy Class #219 and the HCSO Leadership Development Institute.
His last assignment was in the Criminal Investigations Bureau as the Special Investigations Division Commander. Prior to this promotion to Captain he was assigned to the Homicide Division, he served as the Crime Scene Commander for over 9 years, and served several tours in the Detention Command, the Inmate Processing Center, the Transportation Division and in the Patrol Bureau as a Deputy, Sergeant and Lieutenant.
Assistant Chief Navarre is a recipient of a 100 Club award, an HCSO Outstanding Supervisor award and two Sheriff’s Office Unit Citation awards.
Assistant Chief Navarre and his wife of 31 years, Lisa, have two sons, James and Nolan who are both Eagle Scouts and attending college. He enjoys saltwater fishing and hunting of any kind.

The Law Enforcement Command is comprised of the Patrol, Homeland Security, Criminal Investigations Bureau, Crime Analysis and Training and the Communication and Technology Bureaus. He additionally leads the Reserve Command.
