Major Bryan Pair
Major Pair began his career with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office in November of 1989. As a deputy he worked in the Patrol Bureau from 1991 – 1998.
While on Patrol, he was a Field Training Officer. In 1998, he transferred to the Internal Affairs Division where he worked as an investigator until promoting to Sergeant in 2001. As a Sergeant, he worked in criminal investigations where he was assigned to the Runaway Division, the Robbery Division and the Homicide Division.
In 2008, he promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and was assigned to Internal Affairs. In 2013, he was promoted to Captain and remained in Internal Affairs.
About the Office of Inspector General/Internal Affairs Division Bureau
This OIG/IAD Bureau is comprised of the Internal Affairs Division and Legal Services. The Internal Affairs Division (IAD) is a stand-alone unit within the bureau. The Bureau reports directly to Chief Toquica to maintain the highest level of integrity and to ensure unbiased investigations involving employee conduct.
IAD operates as the investigative arm of the Sheriff, identifying and documenting alleged employee misconduct and behavior that tends to bring discredit upon the Office and/or violates established polices, procedures, practices and/or laws.
The Division assists the Sheriff in maintaining his commitment to the citizens of Harris County, ensuring that fairness and respect is afforded to both citizens and employees, that investigations are conducted professionally and expeditiously, and that the overall integrity and professional reputation of the Sheriff’s Office is maintained.
